I know where I want to go from Yangon - to the beach. Yes, call it an obsession, I don't care. The beach means everything to me. This beach - Chaung-Tha Beach (sounds like chau-thar which in Chinese Hokkien means burnt till crisp and black) is 290km from Yangon. A trip like this would be something like a trip from KL to Ipoh which is 2 hours by car. But this is Myanmar - it would take 5 to 8 hours drive, if the trip goes on smoothly.
This means my 6 day trip may very well be 1.5 days if I plan to go around much. 4.5 days spent only travelling on the road. Just awesome isn't it?
