Indons are an artistic lot. In Bali for example, Ubud is the art centre where you will find items like paintings on kitchenware, artistically imprinted musical equipments, silk and batik cloth, beaded slippers and such, not forgetting rows of similar shops selling art pieces painted by the shop owners themselves.
In Jawa, it is no different. Although they may not have a specific area for art, you could see their artistic talents every where. From murals (or to be exact, graffiti) to painted vehicles and different types of architectured buildings bult since the BC years, you will never be bored walking down any street if you're into arts.
