Shall I also mention that the shopping amenities here are sufficient for retail therapies? There's Parkson, Watson's, Guardian, that cheapo supermarket where you can get basic stuff for less, Jusco's sister company, many many organic stalls and...here's the deal - a market. You need to go shopping to release work stress? Yes, just go buy a fish! It's not like buying some pieces of clothing that you don't need just to release stress and then regret later. You need fish anytime right? Of course there are other options - like meat, vegetables or fruits.
Parking - yes, it's always been free. Until DBKL installed the parking machines that is. Everyone used to park haphazardly then and no one bothered to pay for the covered car park although it was only RM30 per month. Yes, where else in KL can you rent a covered car park at this rate? I have queued for this but I'll have to wait till forty over of employees who rents the car park space leaves the company before I can park there. It should be a pretty long time looking at the rest of my colleagues who've been here for six years and above. Or the older generation who should retire soon. Waitaminute, the HR VP is over 55 and he's still here! I think he's 60! Arrgh!
Can you believe it, the DBKL machine started working on my first day of work? Oh, by the way, the first time DBKL came, I almost got the ticket, missed by just one car. The second time, I drove right into the covered car park without paying and today's the third time but I couldn't move my car coz it's been blocked left right centre by other staff's car at the back lane. But I would still call myself lucky that I've not had to pay for any fines yet. So, free parking it is!
